"Well, you don't have to." Hmm... that's a stylish, red pair. It speaks to Raven, so he'll go for that one.

Ren keeps looking at the skates...what'd go best with his black outfit? He chooses a silvery pair that look like they're about his size.

"I like them." It's good to offer reassurances! Ren deserves to feel confident today, even with the silly antlers.

Now they just have to sit down on one of the benches and finally wear these skates...

Let's go do that, right. Ren follows along, taking off his shoes and trying to put on the skates.

"Seems they aren't too different from lace up shoes." He makes sure everything is just right before he pulls the laces tight and starts tying. "Just make sure they're tight enough and that the laces won't come loose, and it should be fine."

"Right," Ren nods, doing just that. Then a particularly obnoxious voice rings in his head.

"I think our personas are having fun without us." He stands up, a little wobbly before stabilizing. "Wanna head out?"

"Well, naturally. We can't let them have all the fun." Raven also wobbles as he stands, but he offers a hand. "I suppose we just have to mind our balance..."

Out on the ice rink, Hiro is twirling excitedly, his movements graceful and light.

And there's Wormwood, scooping up a wayward Shiro to twirl him with a giggle.

Ren takes the hand Goro offers. "Let's do this."

Oh, Hiro's cheeks turn a pretty pink, and he joins in the giggling. "What a gentleman!"

Raven, still not wanting to be outdone, carefully guides Ren to the ice. "All right. All we have to do is step onto the ice and glide our way to victory..."

It should be easy. He tentatively takes a step onto the rink once they're close enough...

Ren takes a deep breath. "Three, two, one..."

A single, tentative step onto the ice.

Okay. It's not so bad, as long as they hang close to the wall, it should be easy enough to adjust. Raven tries to move slowly, just so the lack of friction doesn't send them flying.

All this, while Shiro waves at them. "Oh, you're finally here!"

"Yeah! We couldn't let you have all the fun," Ren grins. He lets go of Goro and takes one big stride forwards--

"ACK!"

-- and he's suddenly doing the splits, scrabbling on the surface of the ice with his fingers as his skates slip out from under him.

"Ren!" Raven tries to shoot after him, only to overshoot and go sliding right past him. Clenching his teeth, he tries to turn...

And overshoots again.

Blinking, Shiro frowns at the display. "Should we assist them...?"

Wormwood laces his arms around his dearest Shiro. "If you wish, my loveliness."

"It'd be appreciated," Ren grunts, struggling to un-split himself.

Shiro giggles at the pet name. "Well then. Shall we?" He carefully turns toward Ren, trying not to break from the embrace.

Raven, meanwhile, flails his arms and tries turning again. "I'll be right there!"

"We shall," Wormwood chuckles and skates them both over to their fallen counterparts, offering Ren a hand. "Keep your skates angled inwards next time."

"Ok..."

Raven grumbles as he steadies himself when Shiro offers his own hand. "Well, technically speaking, neither of us has lost the bet yet, so I suppose it's still anyone's game..."

"Yeah..." Ren takes Goro's hand again. "Unless either of you wanna fess up to slipping?"

"I'm made of your desire to be good at skating," Wormwood reminds him. Like the annoying butt he is. "Falling would be...below my skill level."

Shiro beams. "Likewise! But it really isn't too bad, so long as you take it slow. Focus on balance first, before you try any complex maneuvers."

Raven gives Ren's hand a little squeeze. "Shall we try again?"

"Yeah." He squeezes Goro's hand. "Let's try again."

"Best of luck, my friends," Wormwood singsongs, picking up Shiro to twirl him around and skate off.

Shiro once again giggles, cheeks a pretty pink. "You're so romantic..."

Raven clears his throat and... very carefully slides forward. "I suppose we really should just take it slow."

"Y--yeah!!" Ren almost-- ALMOST!-- slips again. "Let's take it slow."

"It's only what my truest self desires," Wormwood grins back, then winks at Ren. "...Alongside other things not to be spoken of outside the bedroom."

Ren goes scarlet. "Shut-- shut up! C'mon, Goro, we're...going over here." a few cautious strokes and look! They've made it to the wall!

Raven's face burns at Wormwood's insinuation, as does Shiro's.

But... but! Ren's right. Over here. By the wall. This is wise, and good, and they haven't fallen yet. "He certainly is shameless..."

But that's fine. They reached the wall. Now they can... go the other way? Yes. Good.

Ren puffs up. "I don't want to--"

Wormwood catches him in the act. "Yes, you do!"

He takes a deep breath. "...Fine. I wanna be like that...sometimes..."

Ren coughs. "Anyway." He wobbles forward, taking Goro's hand.

Shiro nuzzles Wormwood, his voice gentle. "Try not to give him such a hard time. They're still young!"

Goro gladly accepts the hand with a squeeze. "Ah. We could always try a twirl? Though perhaps that's a bit advanced..."
